Ygopro AI mode - beta release

This is a beta release of ygopro single duel mode against an AI opponent.

Be aware that the AI can be VERY stupid! I included a few recommended decks for him to use called "AI-deck1" and "AI-deck2".

Instructions

  • Extract all files into your ygopro folder and open "ygopro_vs_ai.exe"
  • Select "AI mode" in the main menu
  • Choose preferred game settings, click OK
  • Choose your deck and AI deck, click Start
  • Have fun!

The AI can use any of your decks. The AI is stupid too, you can see it using MST in his spells/traps.
But I liked the AI option, because now I can test my new decks without being owned by a DW or another meta deck.

please fix the Glitch with War God Yamato.... his effect is supposed to be "Once per turn, during your End Phase: You can add 1 "War God" monster from your Deck to your hand, then send 1 card from your hand to the Graveyard. You can only control 1 face-up "War God - Yamato"." his glitch is he can use his effect anytime during the main phase of the turn and not at the end phase thank you for your consideration....

Percival. I found an "bug".

AI create loop with Honest.
1turn: Summon Honest, active effect, return the monster of the hand. (Main phase 1)
Next Turn: Summon Honest, active effect, return of the hand. (Main phase 1)
Next Turn: repeat.... repeat....repeat.

Hey, I just trying to create a deck for AI. Here is my tips :
1. Don't use trap/spell which can destroy trap/spell, that will be backfire.
2. Don't use equip spell to power up, he will use on oponenent monster. Instead, use Solidarity or Field Spell (which He will stack with a new one on his hand, haha..)
3. Don't use monster which require to tribute, he will tribute his better monster with the worst one, haha..
4. Don't use monster with high defense but low attack, he will still summon in attack position.
5. Don't use Emperor Hope, he will negate his own attack, haha..
6. Lightsworn is good deck for AI, but, if Judgement Dragon come out, he will always use his effect to clear field, although he just set a trap/summon monster, haha.. And will tribute the dragon for Calestia / Garonith in next turn, haha..
7.The best deck for AI I create is Skill Drain, Earth Monster, with Gaia Power and Final Attack Order;
And Fire Fist deck with only level 4 Fire beast-warrior (because he will summon level 3 Fire Fist in attack position which will be very bad for U), Molten Field Spell, and Solidarity;
And Gadget Rank 4 XYZ with Kagetoge, Goldfish, and Goblindebergh, and Ultimate Offerings;
Any suggestions?
8.In my experience, AI will always use spell card first until no one left in his hand (so, don't bother use Summoner Monk), summon / ss monster randomly in attack position, always, except with "Flip:" effect, xyz or synchro, attack or not, set trap, end turn. And will always activate any trap he set in your turn. :p
9. AI with toolbox level 4 tuner will never synchro summon if U has XYZ in your extra deck. XYZ first.
10. CMIWW :P

I also hope percy that you add more anime cards in the future like card of demise,guardian dreadscythe,anime versions of card of sanctity,crush card,guardian eatos etc... from the original yugioh to help give us more variety especially to making character decks.

For now, I suggest allowing us to adjust the time limit on VS AI Mode too, its kinda irritating every time youre testing a long combo with a deck against AI and it just goes *poof* time limit up...

Please make AI better. Its great right now to test explosive decks, but eventually we need to have stronger competition to better gain knowledge

This AI needs a lot of work.
Gave it Gold Sarcophagus in an elemental dragon deck and it banishes something random like book of moon over a monster every time

It also activates negative effects on its own cards, like using typhoon on its own set cards, or fiendish chain on its own monsters. Or using effect veiler on things like Grapha without an effect on the field.

Percival, i would like to report some bugs i found in the game:
1. Dark World Dealing can't activated(trigger the effect for the first time) Appropriate's effect, but once Appropriate is being activated by another card such as Hand Destruction - Dark World Dealing can activate Appropriate's effect.
2. Sin Key Law is an error, the card doesn't work.

please fix both card.

Questions:
1. how do i get 2nd turn in AI MODE? i always stuck getting 1st turn everytime i battle AI.
2. please add tutorial on how do i develop your AI.lua file. i can't seems to understand your explanation. it's vague.
3. do you have an email? i would like to report some bugs if i found any.

I think Percival should make a release pack of anime cards that haven't been added to this to the game. i would love to finish making my dartz deck and complete raphael's deck with guardian dreadscythe and other yugioh character decks.

I love this so much. I can't wait for future releases and for the AI to slowly get better.

The people who've given you negative feed back don't realize how difficult it is to try and program a computer player in any kind of game, especially a game like this with extreme amounts of variables happening every step of the way.

I am very impressed with the entire program let alone this AI mode beta. It is very promising and I don't see anything wrong with this mode except of course as you've already pointed out yourself the fact that it makes stupid decisions, but I'm sure that will come with time.

I am though very entertained by the things people here have witnessed the AI do. With my battles I've seen him set a couple spells/traps then use Heavy storm, oops. And He had sent AbyssMegalo to the graveyard for AbyssSpike's effect. Others have already mentioned using MST on his self, I saw him do that on his own Metal Reflect Slime which he had a Calculator on the field at the time too dropping its ATK of course

I think I found a bug, the AI normal summoned Sonic Bird, I used Trap Hole, the Sonic Bird is destroyed and the AI pick up the Black Luster Ritual, then the AI used the Black Luster Ritual to summon the Black Luster Soldier from his hand, but do not sacrificed any monster from the field or hand.

Hey there Percy, not trying to bug ya or anythin, but I noticed one thing that bthers me in your AI system: I cannot for the life of me activate Orichalcos Kyutora's LP cost Special Summoning effect altho I DO have The Seal of Orichalcos (anime version) on my field. When I click the card nothing happens. What's the matter here? Râ Disciple's Reveal The Winged Dragon of Râ to Special Summon seems bugged as well.It would be great if you fixed those please. Last thing: you forgot to add Galaxy Knight, Photon Slasher, Photon Satellite, Dimension Wanderer, and Double or Nothing, which is still a staple when playing Number 39 Utopia when you made Galaxy Overlord and Lord of Tachyon Galaxy.

Lool, In Al Mode my opponent always attacks if it can, no matter how strong my monster is xD (For example it attacks with 1000 ATK to my 2400 ATK monster)

ive noticed that it likes using lance out of fucking nowhere, same with maxx. and if you negate honest with drain/gaios, the ai will infinitely get stuck trying to use its effect

You've taken on quite a noble task! It gives me a lot of hope. Like someone else inquired, would it be possible to find the AI script in a Tag Force 6 ISO and use it on YGOPro? Or is it far more complicated than that?

once the ai summoned a monster and used tribute of the doomed to destroy that monster on its first turn... then it was end phase..
